First of all, you will have peace of mind knowing that Milgard windows and doors are backed by a lifetime warranty. As long as you own your home, you can rest assured that your windows and doors will function properly and free of any defects.
Having been in the window and door business for over 2 decades now, Clear Concepts Window & Door has had the opportunity to see which products last and which ones don’t. Since we opened our doors in 1989, we have always carried Milgard products. There is a good reason too. They build quality products and they stand behind their products, for a lifetime. Some products even include an accidental glass-breakage warranty, in case Ralphie shoots a pellet through your window. Now, that’s peace of mind!
Where to locate your Milgard Manufacturing Stamp for Warranty Service
On every Milgard window and door there is a “born on date” stamp. This stamp is unique to each window and door. The stamp is located on the spacer bar in between the two panes of glass. In most cases the stamp will be in the upper corners of the window. However, occasionally, you will find it in the bottom corners. Depending on how old your windows or doors are, this stamp can become faded, making it difficult to read. Because of this fading, sometimes it can be helpful to use a window or door on a particular side of your home that receives less sunlight exposure throughout the day.
The manufacturing stamp is located in between the dual pane glass on the spacer bar. It is comprised of numbers and letters. In fact, with close observation, you will notice that part of these numbers and letters represent the date it was manufactured. Hence the “born on date.” Budweiser wasn’t the only one thinking about this helpful tidbit of information!
